Small Business Plan Uk
A business plan essential for opening a business account? (UK)?
I’m a sole proprieter and have a small crafts business, I have a meeting with a bank Manager on Monday to open a business bank account (I need Card Net), I do not need any credit of any kind just an account with credit card payment facilities, do I really need a business plan? I asked the Manager if it was a straight forward process and she assured me it was I just need I.D., is it really this straight forward? Or is she going to ask me for a business plan? (I don’t have one!!!) Bank is Lloyds TSB.
No, I’ve opened 2 accounts and have never had a business plan. You need a business plan only if you want to borrow money I think.
Your accountant will probably tell you to keep your personal credit card and get reimbursed by the company. That way you avoid paying bank changes for a business credit card and get to keep the perks such a cashback/airmiles etc.
Check what their fees are when the free period runs out. I save a lot by banking with Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank which is free for ever!!
