How many people here seriously think that we will have an exodus of rich people if taxes are raised by 3.5%?

If your household is making above $250, 000 in this economy, I would say your doing pretty good and that a 3.5% tax increase will feel more like a Mosquito bite then having your arms and legs pulled off.

Most other nations have much higher tax laws than we do.
This is because they have socialized democracies.
Britain, Canada, France . . . all have socialized tax programs.
