Business Plan Unit
What are my odds of transferring to berkeley, ucla, or usc for their undergrad business programs?
I currently have a 3.75 gpa at a community college, and i am majoring in business admin or econ. I plan on applying for transfer to berkeley, ucla, and usc for their undergraduate business programs in the fall. I was just curious what my odds were of getting into any of these schools for business admin (or busiecon for ucla)?
some strong points of mine: my last 40 units (around 10-12 classes) in business related classes were accomplished in 6 months with an impeccable gpa! in that same amount of time i boosted my gpa from 3.3 to a 3.75!
According to the Berkeley Transfer Admission brochure (http://students.berkeley.edu/files/Admissions/Transfer_07.pdf ) the admission rate for the Business Administration major is 8%.
For UCLA (http://www.econ.ucla.edu/bizecon/program/admissio.htm ), all applicants, whether freshman or transfer, must apply for Pre-Business Economics major and complete a series of prep courses before applying for admission into the major.
I’m not that familiar with USC, but you can contact its undergraduate admission office and someone should be able to tell you the admission rates/profiles for the business program.
Stress your academic accomplishment in business-related coursework in your personal statement and any business-related academic or extracurricular activities you participated. Good luck!
