Business Plan Tucson

I need a little help here.?

So you can call me crazy, call me a moron and tell me that it will NEVER work. But I’m 18 years old and attempting to start my own business. It will be an indoor dog park in Tucson. I need any opinions from respected business owners on the various little steps to starting your own business. I initially want to rent out a large warehouse, but I NEED FUNDING! I’m willing to offer the lender equity in the company. But i’m not 100% sure how this all works. I’m attempting right now to write a business plan to send out to investors, but with no years of college under my belt, is that an automatic ‘no, you’re an idiot, stop wasting my time.’ I have a good idea, and I know it will be profitable, I just need to know all the small steps. Please help me achieve my dream of owning a business i’m passionate in.

If you have done your research before you do anything with investors then they will be more likely to put some funds in.

The first thing you need to find out is, is there a market for an indoor dog park in Tucson? Go to a local park/dog park and ask dog owners if they would personally ever take their dog to an indoor park.

If you find that you would be successful make sure that you write EVERYTHING that you do. Track how many people you asked, how many said yes, how many said no. You could set up a facebook page and see if anyone adds it. There is a whole field of research and development that goes on before the company even starts doing anything.

The next thing you need to do is to put together every possible cost you can think of in owning/operating an indoor dog park. Utilities, toy, cleaning supplies, etc…

Once you have the cost laid out develop your business plan. What will your services be, how are you going to make money, what will your marketing strategy be, etc…

Once you have collected all that information then you might have a chance with an investor.

You might want to start small and work your way into a warehouse. Most companies don’t start very big. Yours is no different.
