Business Plan Theatre

What would it take to open this business? 10 pts best answer!?
Ok, So I am an actress and getting a degree in theatre. Originally I planned on a minor is broadcast journalism, but I’ve fallen out of love with the idea. Who knows. Anyways, my newest business idea is this: I want to open a small place and hold children’s acting classes. Would I need a teaching degree for this as well? I think Im going to make my minor business. But what are the steps in opening a business?
It would all depend on what state you are in.
Some states are easy and others make you go through tons of red tape.
You can open the business as a DBA (Doing Business As) under your name. You will not need to get a Federal ID number but you will have to register the name with your secretary of state.
Make sure you have INSURANCE coverage for liability in case a student does get injured. This is required by most rental agencies if you are going to rent a building.
If you plan on hiring employees, the you will have to get a Federal ID tax number which only requires you fill out a form and list your business name. You will have to pay estimated quarterly taxes though. As a DBA, you only have to pay taxes once a year along with your income.
I think this is a novel idea and hope it works. Feel free to email me if you need more info.
