• Your Experience – Have you owned a business in the past? How extensive is your education?

• Mission Statement – List your objectives and what you hope to accomplish with your business. What do you want your customers to say about you?

Having a business plan greatly increases your chances of raising funds via an investor. There are other criteria that they will look at, but your plan is the most important. Different investors invest for different reasons, but they will all want assurances that you have researched your idea thoroughly and know what you need to do in order to be successful. Make sure you do your homework and take your time choosing someone to work with.
