Tips and suggestions for approaching people with an essay or a step?

I asked the question before, but have not received many responses as here it goes … again … I'm going to San – Diego Comic Con next month, and I'm really looking forward to it. Anyway theme this year is aimed at writers. I plan to take some samples of Writing with me and post some of my work on my blog, and we-page book. I've also made a few business cards last fall that I printed and distributed. For me, when I meet someone new I was shy and nervous at first but I escaped as soon as I have said for some time. Basically, I'm looking to move work but I want not to appear pushy or desperate. With regard to written work, I write mostly fiction, but I've worked on two scenarios, one for experimental and animated cartoons film, and well memoirs and movie reviews. But I could could use some help on this. Any suggestions?

I can see your passion for your work. It is a fact – People who stand out in these conventions, as a rule, people who work in publishing, but can not see all submitted unsolicited work – they just have to answer questions. But sometimes, you get lucky, a writer who works for a company or publisher, you could talk to. These agreements have a lot of people go and some people can not take place of work. Usually, they prefer that people send their works on site or via mail. Just letting you know that they can not take your work or read your sample work at that time. But that said … Your smart enough to bring their business cards with you each day. Of pitching – it is best to first to talk to any publisher, editor and writer in the business. Ask general questions: * Do take unsolicited work? * What kind of genre they take? * What is a Submission Guidelines? etc. etc. etc. Then he started to tell them about their work – maybe if you published or helped in other companies or in newspapers or magazines – let them know. Tell them that you have completed so far and what you would like to see them. If they are interested in your work – you could offer to show them your sample work. Finish interview to get their name down, or via email. Then transfer your business card – let them know you have a sample of work on your site if they are interested in seeing more your work. Shake hands … And then go to the next publisher. Good luck.
