Business Plan Olive Oil
Clever business minds needed to plan some strategies in selling a product to a foreign country?
This is not something real or planned to be done. it’s merely my hw for my foreign trade class.
the case is;
you are a company from Europe(i.e. greece,turkey,italy) that produces olive oil and would like to sell it to the USA; to CNN/NBC/FOX etc, to a media corporation.
How would you manage to sell olive to one of them?
I thought they would use olive oil in the lunch meals, but couldn’t come up with something better..
*you have got to sell the olive oil to MEDIA. you cannot use indirect selling. you are the exporter,and in this case, you have got to deal with your selling the product and the other stuff.
and you cannot talk about how healthy the olive oil is for uor health.
the question to be answered is WHERE all these people in the CNN building use the oil and how else can they use it.?

I don’t see a business model here…either you sell in bulk because you have an average product that will sell cheap, or you sell in small quantities to high end markets who want your product for its quality. Now in the real world, nobody would even try this because no media corporation is going to use tons of olive oil OR pay top dollar for a small amount of the best. I think your best bet would be to use the media as a middle man to get to the US market if you can’t alter the assignment, cause theres no way to sell to them for their own use. Thats just my thoughts on it.
