Are gas prices really going up to $7 by the end of summer?

My husband has his plan B because he thinks his work is going out of business due to high gas prices. They have to fill up about 20 trucks per day at $70 a pop. He said he saw in the newspaper (he doesn’t read the newspaper) that the prices are going up to $7-10 by the end of this summer. Is this baloney or true?

oil speculators are under investigation for running the futures price of oil up…

it’s an election year and historically things don’t go haywire during this time as business does not want to get off on the wrong foot with a new administration…

demand for gas has dropped 2% in less than a month…

ridership is up on mass transportation by 3%…

there is talk of an increase in oil production in the mid-east…

the US economy is strengthening…slowly but getting better…

all of these factors are in favor of the price of gas not skyrocketing as we have been seeing recently but instead starting to flatten out.

price of crude is, as of a minute ago, is down $2.79 – 3.10…

but the bottom line is…who knows for if someone sneezes in the wrong place at the wrong time crude could jump by dollars per barrell.

your husband is smart though to think about the future…whether he reads the paper or not.
