Business Plan Needed Craigslist

To begin learning guitar lessons, what I need, except for business cards? How can I get more customers?

I need help building fund at local level to identify students for guitar lessons. What are the best ways to advertise for teaching? I already plan to do professional business cards. I also put in more ads Craigslist, the merchant circle, Yellow, whitepages, and many others. They do not seem to work, although very students that I had taught rating on these sites. as four and five stars I've asked a few people and they think that business in the local town, it seems to grow customers primarily through word of mouth. Well, what should I do if I'm not very many customers. Oh, and Ive already went to the local music stores and posted flyers for my business. I'm just really stuck. Even when I'm networking in about 10 different major networks including MySpace, Facebook, Twitter and many others. Much help is welcome. Thanks for any advice!

It really all about knowing your customers and partnership relationships. You have to find out who your client is expected to be, then find out where your customer goes and how you can get yourself (or your company in front of them). For example, if you plan to have children as clients, so you can work with several school districts (if they allow it) and send home flyers to parents (which is a lot with my school children). Maybe you can offer free seminars for the children or parents. But you want to try do some research to find out where people are likely to take music lessons, to narrow their customer base. If you can not find any research you may have to do your own 'man on the street "survey to answer your questions. Secondarily, learn to do advertising, and help others achieve their goals too. Thus, in case of a music store, tell them if you pay for advertising for the free workshop, perhaps they will loan you room for him, and perhaps they will also help you. This can help bring customers to them too. So it's a win-win, to build partnerships relationships. I do not have the music industry so you can adjust it fit, but I hope that the basic meaning across. I understand that giving a freebie does not pay you but it makes people get to know you, then pay you back. Good luck.
