Business Plan Lyrics

How to get meetings and noticed by record labels in Nashville?
Hi,
Im 16 years old and i write my own songs and play piano and guitar. I am taking a trip to Nashville for a week in march. I really want to break into the music business and I plan to start a carrer after highschool and move to nashville when im 18. Can anyone help me? I was wondering if record labels just let you walk in and give them my song lyrics? Could I itleast get a meeting? Does anyone know someone who could get me an “in” with a record label in Nashville?
Thank you so much!
Many people go to Nashville or Memphis to start a career in music, therefore you probably have some stiff competition trying to get noticed by a record label. I would practice as much as possible and try to be as original as possible before you head to Nashville when you’re 18. Most labels look for originality these days when signing people to their label so they can produce the “next big star”. I have the same dream and have been honing my skills until I feel I’m able to compete with the best musicians (I think I’m almost there after having a successful music career in Minnesota).
Overall, if you have the passion and desire to be signed by a label, it will happen…all it takes is alot of effort (being a successful musician is not easy). I’m familiar with many blues/country artists who are signed in Nashville who never make it as big-time musicians, though they make a very decent living playing playing shows at blues festivals, state fairs, regional tours, etc. throughout the US. Good luck! If you’re good enough, you will make it.

College Dropout $7.97 This debut from the most sought-after hip-hop producer not named Pharrell delivers the unthinkable: West magically sledgehammers home his opinions on taboo topics over beats that are equally daring. The envelope-ripping beats shouldn’t come as a surprise given that he’s supplied the soundscapes to monster singles by everyone from Alicia Keys (“You Don’t Know My Name”) to Talib Kweli (“Get By”).
