Business Plan Lubricant
Keep getting bladder infections when I use lubricant during sex; does this mean I can’t use them??
Every time I use a lubricant, I end up getting a bladder infection. I’ve tried three different brands, hoping to find one that won’t cause an infection. I’ve tried KY personal lubricant, a water-soluble one from Planned Parenthood, and the Sticky Stuff (since it’s glycerin-free). I know lubricants can be bad as they can trap bacteria and if you can’t get rid of it via urinating immediately after sex, it’s bad news. Does anyone know of a lubricant that doesn’t cause UTI’s?
I don’t use them that often, but there are some times when we just want to get down to business, if you know what I mean.. and I can’t produce adequate lubrication after 20 minutes of so. :-
I’ve had four UTI’s in the past six months so I’m “UTI-conscious”. I always urinate before and immediately after sex; I try to stay hydrated; practice good “wiping” hygiene, and I used to take cranberry pills everyday until my stomach couldn’t the acidity anymore.
Make sure you urinate immediately after sex. It helps flush the bacteria out of the urethra.
You might want to consider not using a commercial lubricant. Saliva is the best lube of all. Your partner can help you with that!
