Business Plan Irish Bar

irish law degree…can i then study for the bar in the u.s or e.u?
so yeah im planning on doing a law degree (well law and business) b.b.l.s, and i was wondering how does this qualify me to practice in the us or eu…i know the degree will qualify me in Ireland to study to pass the bar, but is this the same in the us? and if i’ve passed the bar in Ireland what does this mean in relation to practice in us or eu?
any help would be appreciated
thank you
Irish and British law are based on British Common law as is law in all US states except Louisiana. The EU is mostly Civil law so the underlying concepts are different and a British or Irish law degree will not work.
You can practice law in the US in some states (NY and California) with a British LLB followed by the state Bar exam but, without internships, you will have a very hard time finding employment. Google ‘LLB to LLM’ and you will see that there are people who have done this.
However, you are not going to be awarded an LLB and I very much doubt that Law with Business would be considered a substitute.
