i want to start my own business………?

I want to start my own business, its a retail project, i just don’t know where to start?? I know i need a business plan but have no idea, how or where to start, i dont have the money to get one done professionally, i have got books and downloaded some guides, just wondered if anyone had any experience??

I set up my own business as a drum teacher a few years ago. Unfortunately I had to end it due to relocation and family problems (this affected the cash flow so I subsequently had to end the business).

There are several places you can go to that will offer advice and training. I applied to the Prince’s Trust for funding (this is age dependent though), I also attended a local business start up group that gave me training and links to possible sources of monetary support.

Have a search on the internet for local groups and companies that help with business start-ups. A good place to visit would also be your local job centre who should be able to give you some information about such groups.

This is of course only useful if you’re based in the UK!
