Average number of coffee house customers?
I am doing research for a business plan for a coffee house art gallery I am opening and I am trying to find out how many customers a typical coffee house has. I tried asking potential competition but most of them don’t want to give that info for some reason. Any way I can find out this info online? Thanks
They can’t give that info, because even if they know your exact location, the number would be incorrect, unless one of them shut down. The collective number of clients in the area must be divided by the number of cafées – the more cafées, the less customers per café.
Of course they won’t giver you their numbers – and I wouldn’t trust them, if they did. You could be from the tax-services, in which case they would want to underestimate the number. You could be looking to buy their café, in which casees they might want to overestimate the number. And finally you could be from an actual competing café, which could merit all kinds of strategic conciderations ..
You will just have to pick some times during the day, where you count the number of people in each café.
