Business Plan Flowers
How do you set prices?
I'm starting small business cake. I want to know how other people go about their pricing pies. I plan to make it clear regular plates and round decorated cakes specifications. Furthermore, I do specialty cakes as gutairs and what not. I also know how to make lipstick and will explore how to use gumpaste flowers, etc. At the end I would like to take wedding cakes, as well. Any insight would be useful. Thanks!
First and foremost, I would go and look at all other local bakeries and see what their prices, and thus you know what your competitors are asking for. For Secondly, I want to ask yourself what you are ready to pay — create a poll on the internet and ask your friends and the community to anonymously answer your questions so you can get an idea of what they would willing to pay. Take a look at what your business cost you, materials, rent, bills, etc. — You should make sure that it's only business is going to cover the cost all that and then leave some remaining for you. And finally, ask yourself what you believe your effort is worthwhile. What are the prices will pull in customers? What price will keep them coming back?
