Starting an importing company that imports from China?
OK, my girlfriend’s father is in China and has access to products that he wants to export to me. I am planning on starting the business as an internet retail shop in the beginning, allowing me to do it part-time (I have another job that pays well). The products could be electronics, medical supplies, etc. (Not pills or anything like that). Does anyone have any ideas on what i may need to start the business in Delaware, the state i will do business from? Think of it from the importing side. He would deal with the exporting aspect.

I own an electronics company and import mp3 players and phones from Hong Kong and China on a monthly basis. You will need startup capital and warehousing space if he will not “front” you the product. Use a garage if youre not moving a lot of product to start with. Starting a company is the hard part… but once you get the ball rolling, maintaining it can be a breeze with enough hard work and business ethic involved.
