Lampert: Expect store closings unless Sears gets pension relief
Sears Holdings Corp., parent company of Sears and Kmart, could close a significant number of its stores if legislation to extend funding pensions doesn’t become law, Chairman Edward S. Lampert told shareholders today. Separately, Sears is moving its apparel business unit out of its Hoffman Estates headquarters and to San Francisco by mid-summer.
